The finale of the 2018 World Rally Championship season (WRC) is getting a makeover for its 26th edition. THE Rally of Australia (November 15-18) will indeed offer a completely renovated route.
While the action will still take place near the coastal town of Coffs Harbor (New South Wales), Rally Australia will see the appearance of 16 new special stages out of a total of 24 sections (317 km). The organizers looked for new routes or simply took the existing stages in the opposite direction.

The Wedding Bells special, which will close the season as the Power Stage, will thus be taken in the opposite direction, culminating in a longer and higher jump than the version used in the past. The longest special, Argents Hill Reverse, will extend over 28,84 km.
The super special on Friday and Saturday evening is repeated while another short special (1,97 km) is planned twice on Saturday. “It is the most important rally of the year in this part of the globe and certainly the most intense moment of the WRC season, estimates Ben Rainsford, organizer of the event.
