Dominik Dinkel offers himself a nice program with Sarrazin

Dominik Dinkel will have a strong program with Sarrazin Motorsport this year. The 2017 and 2018 vice-champion of the German Rally Championship will be entered in several rounds of the French Gravel and Asphalt Championship at the wheel of a Hyundai i20 R5. The 26-year-old driver will also be entered in three events of the WRC 2.

Sarrazin Motorsport's new recruit started in 2011, his family already involved in the world of rally, before joining the Opel Adam Cup in 2013 at the end of which he finished 4th, then 3rd the following year. The German driver then moved to the next category by driving a Skoda Fabia S2000 then an R5 version of the Czech in his native country.

Dominik Dinkel was thus able to be spotted by Hyundai and will have a dedicated engineer for his nine rounds.

“I’m really looking forward to working with Stéphane Sarrazin and his entire team. This year, everything is new for me: the team, the car, the stages…, comments the person concerned who will always be co-driven by Christina Fürst. My main objective will therefore be to gain experience and progress with the settings. I am convinced that I will be able to learn a lot of things from Stéphane, whose experience is immense in several disciplines. He knows rallying, the R5 category and Hyundai Motorsport well and this was evident from our first tests with the Hyundai i20 R5 last December. »
