Duval, injured but not serious

François Duval escaped the worst this Thursday evening, after an accident which could have been much more serious. While repairing for the family dealership, the Belgian driver was a victim of the climatic conditions prevailing in Europe. Standing on the bed of the truck, Duval slipped on an icy patch, falling heavily on his back. The native of Chimay was then transported to hospital, where a double fracture of the lumbar vertebrae was detected.

However, François Duval avoided the worst since there was no movement and the discs were not affected. No neurological consequences are therefore to be feared. If the pilot from across Quiévrain was able to return home, he will have to observe a period of total rest of eight weeks. He will therefore have to be careful when moving around but may nevertheless be relieved not to have been more seriously affected.
