Elfyn Evans remains leader in Argentina

Well ahead of the Rally from Argentina at the start of the second stage this Saturday, Elfyn Evans (Ford) had started his day in the best way by setting the best time in SS10 Tanti – Villa Bustos.

The Norwegian lost the use of the handbrake in this timed sector and was driving a Ford Fiesta whose central differential was showing signs of weakness.

A damaged rear diffuser also slowed down Ostberg in this first loop of Saturday, particularly in SS11. The former Citroën driver is now 8″9 behind Neuville and 53″ behind Evans.

Thank you salary. Ogier

Engaged in a fight for fourth place with Sébastien Ogier (Ford), Ott Tänak took a first advantage over the quadruple world champion, who admitted at the end of the loop that “something must have been broken” on his Fiesta M-Sport, after losing more than 10″ on his teammate on the Dovenby Hall structure.

Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) follows in the standings ahead of Lorenzo Bertelli (Ford), Juho Hänninen (Toyota), and Pontus Tidemand (Skoda), leader in WRC.

If Kris Meeke (Citroën) was able to restart in Rally2 after going off the road yesterday, and set the best times in SS11 and 12, Craig Breen was unable to leave the Villa Carlos Paz service park, an oil leak having been discovered on his C3.

The gearbox of the Irishman's mount was replaced yesterday evening, after the element broke at the end of SS4.

The second passage will begin at 18:08 p.m. French time, and will be followed live with commentary on our website.
