Elfyn Evans on a Ford Fiesta WRC M-Sport in Monte-Carlo

If the distribution of the main headliners of the first event of the 2017 season of the WRC was known since the officializations of Sébastien Ogier et Ott Tänak in M-Sport and Jari-Matti Latvala at Toyota alongside Juho Hänninen, the entry list published this Tuesday confirmed the presence of Elfyn Evans in a third Ford Fiesta from Malcolm Wilson's team.

The Brit returns to the premier category of the WRC, having competed in the 2016 season in a Ford Fiesta R5. We will also note the presence of Craig Breen in a DS3 WRC, while Kris Meeke and Stéphane Lefebvre will drive the 3 Citroën C2017 WRC. In the new WRC Trophy, Greek Jourdan Serderidis will drive a DS3 WRC.

The list also confirms the entry of Andreas Mikkelsen in a Skoda Fabia R5 in the WRC-2 category. The Norwegian will be supported by Jan Kopecky.

Bryan Bouffier (Ford Fiesta R5), Eric Camilli (Ford Fiesta R5 – M-Sport), Quentin Gilbert (Hyundai i20 R5), Quentin Giordano (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) or Yoann Bonato (DS3 R5) will represent the French colors in WRC-2. Kevin Abbring (Hyundai i20 R5) and Pontus Tidemand (Skoda Fabia R5), not entered in WRC-2, will also be there.

The R-GT class will be made up of four entries, including three Abarth 124s for François Delecour, Fabio Andolfi and Gabriele Noberasco. The Italian cars will be opposed to the Porsche 911 by Romain Dumas.
