Esapekka Lappi entered for Arctic Rally Finland

Not renewed by M-Sport Ford for this 2021 campaign in World Rally Championship, the Finn Esapekka Lappi had not found a steering wheel in the premier category of WRC to line up at the start of the Rally Monte-Carlo last January.

As specified by the WRC website, the former driver Toyota and Citroën will however make its return to the World Cup at the end of the month, by lining up at the start of its home event at theArctic Rally Finland, at the wheel of a Volkswagen Polo GTI R5 operated by the Movisport structure where Russian Nikolay Gryazin already competes.

Lappi will therefore be entered in WRC2 and will find terrain where he could show his advantage, having won the Arctic Lapland Rally in 2012. The Finn could also commit to a more complete program, discussions being ongoing in that Sens.
