  • Although it was not able to celebrate in the premier category, France was still in the spotlight in WRC2 thanks to Nicolas Ciamin. However, the Habs were not supposed to leave this Rally of Central Europe with victory. At least on paper since Emil Lindholm was leading the way with a 20" lead at the end of Saturday's specials.
  • However, the Finn, whose victory was reaching out to him, suffered a mechanical breakdown on the link leading to SS15, the first special stage of this Sunday. Forced to stop on the road to try to repair the problem, Emil Lindholm finally had to give up because his alternator gave up the ghost even before the start...
  • A terrible blow which did Nicolas Ciamin's business. Propelled to first place in WRC2, the Niçois then contented himself to secure his first victory of the season on his fourth start. “ It's fantastic. I was in a good position several times for a good result but it didn't always pay off. I'm very happy to bring the car home this time »
  • A good player, the Frenchman did not forget to salute Emil Lindholm whose problems allowed him to pop the champagne this Sunday.
  • Concerning the title, the fight turned to the advantage of Andreas Mikkelsen. With the 7th place of Gus Greensmith, his main rival, during the Power Stage, the Norwegian can no longer be mathematically beaten. Although tied on points, the two men are divided by the number of victories and the Scandinavian has three, one more than his English counterpart. Enough to secure his second coronation in WRC2 after that of 2021.
  • Adrien fourmaux was the fastest man in the WRC2 category but not scoring any points (he had already reached the limit of 7 rounds which count for the season), he did not appear in the general classification. Behind the wheel of an advanced Ford Fiesta Rally2, the Northerner managed a very solid performance. This bodes well for Japan (November 16-19) where he will meet the Ford Puma in the premier category.
