Avoiding small mistakes for Mads Ostberg

After the winter conditions of the first two events of the WRC in Monte-Carlo and Sweden, Citroën Racing and the DS3 WRC will return to Mexican soil, which had long smiled on the French team in the time of Sébastien Loeb. Author of an excellent start to the race last year, Mads ostberg will want to make the powder speak again and take advantage of a mount that has proven its velocity on a rally which the Norwegian particularly appreciates.

?Last year, I was at the top of the rankings. However, it is difficult to find the perfect balance, so you have to adapt your driving to counter the effect of altitude. The secret is to be even more careful, because the slightest mistake costs more. With the power deficit, we cannot make up for these small mistakes. The stages are fast, rhythmic and not too rough. We will discover the behavior of the evolutions of our DS 3 WRC on gravel. This will be an opportunity to check that the team has worked well and to continue learning for the rest of the season. We will give our best, without making any mistakes and adopt a good pace to be in the game. »

Mads Ostberg, like Kris Meeke, will want to bring down the double title holder Sébastien Ogier (Volkswagen), which remains on two consecutive victories this season. The Rally Mexico shakedown will begin on Thursday, and the event will be available to follow on our website throughout the week.
