You have been confirmed for 2022. Did you have any doubts?

No way. The announcement was made in Italy, but the decision was made in July. By being scheduled so early in the season, it allowed me to be freed up and to concentrate on my work. We know that M-Sport and Ford can develop a great new car and see that brand support will be greater than before is very encouraging.

Being confirmed demonstrates Malcolm Wilson’s confidence in you…

I'm really excited about what's coming up as we head into the biggest rule change in the history of the game. WRC. It means a lot to represent the team heading into 2022.

You have shown good progress this season. What will your ambition be next year?

This year my goal was to increase my experience. We often had the speed, but we lacked consistency. I also made some stupid mistakes that will absolutely have to be erased. Over the past 12 months, I have always tried to interfere in the battle for the podium. The cessation of development of the car and the absence of testing did not make our task very easy, but there were some races where we were close to the leading group. We should have a competitive package next year, which should allow us to achieve our objectives. I want to win stages, get podiums, and then we'll see about victory.
