Finland – Tänak and the Hyundais in good shape at Shakedown

It is in the cool of Vesala near Helsinki thatOtt Tänak distinguished himself this Friday morning by setting the best time of the Shakedown. The latest winner from Finland with two victories in 2018 and 2019, the Estonian fromHyundai recorded his best time during his third and final run of the morning.

With a time of 1’46”5, the 2019 world champion was 3 tenths ahead of his teammate Craig Breen and the current leader of the championship, Sébastien Ogier, by almost a second. Fourth on the line of this 4.04 kilometer long Shakedown, Thierry Neuville finished 1” behind Ott Tänak. At home, Kalle Rovanperä finished 1th after reaching the finish line in 5’1”47.

Guided by Alexandre Coria for the first time, Adrien fourmaux made 5 passes in this Shakedown for a 9th place in the standings, 4” behind Ott Tänak. His teammate Gus Greensmith completed the Top 5 with a time of 10’1”51.

The start of Rally of Finland is scheduled for 12:38 p.m. this Friday and will be followed on AUTOhebdo.
