Fourmaux: “It’s a dream to get into a Rally1”

Teemu Suninen and the Frenchman Adrien fourmaux will share the wheel of Ford's second car M-Sport this season. The distribution of the rounds remains to be defined. The Finn is certain to be at the start of Monte-Carlo while the Northerner will start the WRC2 championship there on Thursday where he will also aim for the title. Before arriving in the principality where he carried out tests this weekend, the latter spoke to AUTOhebdo.

You will play all the rounds of the WRC, including some on a Fiesta Rally1. There are worse programs, right?

For Renaud (Jamoul, his co-driver. Editor's note) and me, it is certainly a fantastic program. I'm very happy. We are very motivated by everything that awaits us. In WRC2 we hope to be able to fight for the title.

With the Rally1, you will have to try to cover as many kilometers as possible in order to gain pace, while trying to achieve good performances when all the conditions are met.

Do you have any apprehensions regarding your future participations with Rally1?

No ! When I think about these next events with the Rally1, I don't feel any particular pressure. My biggest apprehension, I have already overcome it at Rallylegend, in San Marino (his first outing with a Rally1. Editor's note).

I wondered if I was going to be able to drive this car. At the end of the event, I knew it was possible, even if I am perfectly aware that the road to leading me to fight with the best is still long.

It's such a dream to get into Rally1 that the day I get there I'm going to focus on enjoying every moment... And it's when I enjoy that I'm able to let go!
