Yes, François Delecour will indeed be present at the Rally Monte Carlo ! Father “Freine Tard” confirmed his participation in the event on his Facebook page on Saturday, after several days of uncertainty surrounding his commitment. Initially, the ex-Ford driver and Peugeot en WRC had to return to the highest category at Monte-Carl' with a private Ford Puma Rally1, prepared by M-Sport. Unfortunately, due to a lack of available cars, the Northerner had to abandon the project and move towards WRC2. Finally, it will be aboard the brand new Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 prepared by Toksport WRT that François Delecour will hit the roads alpines. Sabrina de Castelli will be at his side as co-driver.

Despite the disappointment of not being able to compete in the premier category, François Delecour was delighted with his presence in the Monte-Carlo, which he won in 1994. “Friends, it is with immense joy that I announce my participation in the next Monte-Carlo rally at the wheel of a superb Skoda WRC2 from Toksport WRT alongside the best drivers in the category, he announced on his Facebook page. Sabrina de Castelli will be by my side to try to put on a great performance and believe me we will do what is necessary! With 3 days of complete testing, we will be able to familiarize ourselves with the car and approach this rally in the best conditions. »

The Skoda Fabia RS Rally2 will make its official debut in the WRC2 world championship at the Monte-Carlo Rally. Highly awaited by the entire field, it also attracted François Delecour, who will try to stand out in a WRC2 category which will, without a doubt, be very competitive.
