Juho Hänninen became the first leader of Rally Mexico by being the fastest after two passes of the CDMX super special.

Hänninen first leader at Rally Mexico

Juho Hänninen (Toyota) is the first leader of the Rally of Mexico at the end of the two passages of the 1,57km long super special which opened the event. The Finn preceded the Ford Fiesta RS by 1”6 WRC byOtt Tänak (M-Sport) et la Citroën C3 WRC de Kris Meeke.

The Hyundai i20 WRC Thierry Neuville and Hayden Paddon complete the top five ahead Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) who is four seconds behind the leader, two seconds ahead of Dani Sordo (Hyundai) and Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota).

Stéphane Lefebvre (Citroën) and Éric Camilli (Fiesta R5) have already lost more than 19 seconds to the leader of the race.

The crews had to travel around 400km to return to Guanajuato where the service park is located.
