Hayden Paddon will play Sanremo

New Zealander Hayden Paddon will be at the start of the Rally Sanremo (29 mars – 1er avril) au volant d’une Hyundai i20 R5. Cette épreuve marquera notamment la première collaboration du pilote kiwi avec le Britannique Seb Marshall, qui remplacera John Kennard dans le baquet de droite.

“It will be my first time at Rally Sanremo and I’m really looking forward to it, says Paddon. Competing the week before the Tour de Corse should be the perfect warm-up for this rally.

This will be a good opportunity to get a little more driving on asphalt on very winding and demanding roads, which are similar to Corsica. The Italian riders who know the stages will be very fast, while it will be our first time there, so we are not focusing on results, but rather we are focusing on development and progression for the future.

With Seb in the car with me, it’s also a chance for us to develop our partnership with an eye on the future. »

Hyundai Customer Racing will also enter a second car for South Korean Chewon Lim, partnered with Martijn Wydaeghe, as part of the Hyundai Motorsport Driver Development Program.
