Hirvonen maintains his lead

On the tracks east of Loutraki, Mikko Hirvonen managed to hold off his opponents during the three stages contested on Sunday morning. In opener position, the Finn has 1 min 24.5 sec. ahead of its closest competitor, the French Sébastien Ogier. With only two timed events remaining, Hirvonen seems well on his way to securing a first victory this season, the eighth of his career.

Behind, Sébastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are on track to reach the podium in that order. “ We are relaxed “, declared Latvala. “ We don't take risks. Ogier drives very well. I have no chance of catching him ", he added.

If the first three places seem fixed, on the other hand, the fight rages for fourth place. Federico Villagra only has 0.9 sec. ahead of Conrad Rautenbach. Behind Khalid Al Qassimi occupies sixth place ahead of two Production drivers: Lambros Athanassoulas and Nasser Al-Attiyah.
