Hirvonen: “We can't lose anymore”

Mikko Hirvonen did not have a brilliant start to the Rally from the Acropolis, but its consistency gradually brought it back into third place. The Flying Finn even came back strong on the leaders in the last stage, finishing just 3??5 behind Sébastien Loeb at the finish of the test.

The Ford driver confirms having benefited from a better set-up on his Fiesta RS WRC for the last day. “I really tried everything (in the last stage) and I took as many risks as possible,” explains Mikko Hirvonen. “We made changes to the car to get more grip and traction, maybe that helped. »

However, Mikko Hirvonen regrets not having been able to finish higher in the rankings. “We were close at the end, but this position was not the one we were looking for, even if it offers good points. We clearly have work to do. Everything remains possible, but these last three rallies have been frustrating because we have not been able to achieve victory. This has to change and we can't lose again. »
