Hyundai will field three cars from Sweden

From the Rally of Sweden, which will be contested from February 12 to 15, 2015, the Korean team Hyundai a indiqué qu’elle alignerait trois i20 pour le reste de la saison du WRC. If the Belgian Thierry Neuville already had a complete program for this year, the Spanish Dani sordo had not been confirmed only for ten rounds minimum and the New Zealander Hayden Paddon for nine tests minimum. In its press release, the team based in Alzenau in Germany explains that these three drivers will make up the main Hyundai trio, unless further announcement is made.

“As we saw last year, having three cars at events is very positive and helps us develop our Hyundai i20 WRC more quickly, admits French Team Principal Michel Nandan. Overall I think we have a good line-up for Sweden with Thierry, Dani and Hayden. Even though our riders are not surface specialists, they have proven to be consistent in Sweden in the past and I am sure we will see some interesting performances from them this year. »

Neuville and Sordo, who were already able to test in Sweden last December, will get back behind the wheel of the i20 for half a day the week before the event. Hayden Paddon will benefit from a full day of testing.
