Hyundai changes gear

Fini l’apprentissage pour Hyundai. Après une saison de découverte en Championnat du Monde des Rallyes, ponctuée par a double in Germany thanks to Thierry Neuville and Dani Sordo, recently confirmed for 2015, the team based in Alzenau on the other side of the Rhine, wants to move up a gear.

“As you know, we are working on our new challenge in WRC, based on the upcoming version of the Hyundai i20 Coupe. Our first prototype has already been tested in Germany. It’s a completely new chassis compared to the current i20, so new development work has started for the WRC version. It's a little early, however, to say when we will introduce the car. We don't have to rush. The car must meet the standards of a competitive car. Our goal for 2015 is to use all our experience and all the data collected to make progress in performance. It’s a year of consolidation. We have to raise our level of play against the best teams. » has explained Michel Nandan, Team Principal of Hyundai Motorsport.

The car presents on stage this Wednesday during the Hyundai Product Momentum Show event was the development prototype of the 2015 iteration of the i20 WRC, the final version should be based on the three-door Coupé which should be officially unveiled next March in Geneva.
