Hyundai enters the top five with Sordo

For his second participation in the Rally Monte-Carlo with the i20 WRC, Hyundai is in a position to place a car in the top five tomorrow at the finish of the first round of the 2015 World Rally Championship. The successive setbacks Ford Fiestas Ott Tänak and Elfyn Evans allowed to Dani sordo et Thierry Neuville to move up in the hierarchy today, the Spaniard having got the better of his Belgian teammate during the day.

“In the last stage we probably should have used the studded tires instead of the snow tires because it was very slippery. It wasn't too bad and we can now look forward to the final day and the goal of finishing in the top five, which would be a good result for us. » admits Sordo.

Third time in Sisteron-Thoard, Thierry Neuville remains satisfied with his day. “I enjoyed this stage, and I gained confidence in these difficult conditions. I think we did well in the choice of rubbers. »
