Hyundai Motorsport has confirmed the absence of Sébastien Loeb for the next Rally Germany. The Neuville - Mikkelsen - Sordo trio will defend the interests of the Korean brand.

Hyundai Motorsport without Sébastien Loeb in Germany

Sébastien Loeb will not be at the start of the next one Rally from Germany at the end of August with Hyundai Motorsport. The record holder for victories in the overseas event (9 successes) will therefore not be taking part in one of his favorite events.

The Korean team confirmed that Thierry Neuville, Andreas Mikkelsen and Dani Sordo will drive the i20 Coupe WRC on German asphalt in three weeks.

“After seeing the last rallies and having made a projection for the last part of the season, we believe that Thierry – Nicolas (Gilsoul), Andreas / Anders (Jäger) and Dani / Carlos (del Barrio) will give us our best line-up. up for Germany, comments Team Principal Andrea Adamo.

I have a lot of confidence in my team and I am amazed by the performances of the duos during the first half of the season. I think it's the best choice we can make to get the best possible result for the Constructors' Championship. »

Hyundai missed the podium last weekend in Finland, with Andreas Mikkelsen only finishing 4th. Sébastien Loeb, for his part, recently won the Rally di Alba in Italy.
