Hyundai will not restart Hayden Paddon

Hayden Paddon will not leave in Rally 2 dans la deuxième étape du Rallye Monte-Carlo. Hyundai Motorsport semblait avoir la possibilité de réparer la i20 WRC of the New Zealander following his exit from the road in SS1, but the Korean manufacturer preferred to withdraw the entry of the No. 4 following the death of a spectator, a consequence of the accident of its driver.

“We have chosen to withdraw number 4 from the Monte-Carlo Rally as a sign of respect for the spectator who died last night,” Hyundai Motorsport said.

An investigation has been opened to determine the responsibilities of each party involved in the accident. In particular, it will make it possible to establish whether the safety instructions have been respected.
