L’attitude de Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) à l’arrivée de l’ES16 du Rally of Italy this Saturday left little doubt about the worrying nature of the problems encountered by the Yaris WRC.
Playing the accelerator and not responding to interviews, the Finn hurried towards the final service park of this Sardinian day. But the former Volkswagen driver was forced to stop a little further on the link to try to repair a problem which could be located at the alternator.

But wasted effort for Latvala, who finally had to retire as confirmed by Toyota Gazoo Racing in the evening. The team hopes to be able to repair the Yaris so that Latvala can be in action tomorrow. Esapekka Lappi therefore recovers third place behind the duo Sébastien Ogier - Thierry Neuville, who will play for victory tomorrow.
The car of @JariMattiWRC and @MiikkaAnttila stopped on the road section between SS16 and service. After trying everything to get going again, they have had to stop for the day, but we hope they can restart tomorrow. #RallyItaliaSardegna #WRC #TGR_WRC
