Jari-Matti Latvala: “It’s stupid”

To listen Jari-Matti Latvala à l’arrivée des deux passages dans Destination NSW, on comprend que l’organisation de cette ES spectacle, perturbée ce samedi par l’arrivée de la pluie, n’a pas été du goût du Finlandais de Toyota.

Second less than ten seconds behind his teammate Ott Tänak before the double run, the former Volkswagen driver saw the rain disrupt his passages in a much more pronounced way than the Estonian. With the consequence of the loss of more than ten seconds and a gap now established at 21″9 between the two teammates before the last day.

" It is not fair, Latvala proclaims. We wait two hours to do the super-special and then some drivers ride in the dry, others in the wet. It’s no longer the same race at all. In my opinion, it's stupid, really stupid.

There is still a goal to fight for, but if you lose 10 seconds in 2 km, you are no longer in the same race but that is how it is. If you are fighting for the championship, some have dry conditions, others wet... so imagine that that decides the title: it wouldn't be fair. »
