Jean-Baptiste Franceschi in WRC3 Junior in 2022

European champion in ERC3 and ERC3 Junior last year, Jean-Baptiste Franceschi is expected to take part in the all-new 3 WRC2022 Junior. The Frenchman hopes to be fully recovered from his Var accident to begin competition in Sweden in February.

If the after-effects of his big trip off the road rally du Var are still present, Jean-Baptiste Franceschi is getting better and better. He is working on his recovery even more as he now has a very interesting goal which is quickly approaching.

ERC3 title winner at the wheel of a Renault Clio Rally4, Jean-Baptiste Franceschi could have participated in theERC Junior, a category reserved for competitors racing in a Ford Fiesta Rally3, but he obtained authorization to enter WRC3 Junior. This competition is one of the new features of the 2022 season.

Created in 2001, the Junior has always been run on 2-wheel drive, but this year the candidates, including the 25-year-old Frenchman, will use Fiesta Rally3s with all-wheel drive. If he manages to be completely recovered, “JB” will begin his 2e Junior campaign after that of 2018 where he finished 3e.
