Jost Capito replaces Kris Nissen at Volkswagen

Volkswagen Motorsport had announced several weeks ago the replacement of Kris Nissen by Jost Capito as sporting director. This is an important moment for the sports management as well as for the new director. “I look forward to working with this strong team and have a lot of respect for everything they have achieved so far. My first impression is that there is great enthusiasm within the team and the general atmosphere is friendly. Great tasks await us and we are ready to face them with the greatest motivation. I warmly thank Kris Nissen who has done a lot of preparatory work and who will continue to work with us to ensure a smooth replacement. »

Kris Nissen will therefore still have responsibilities within Volkswagen Motorsport even if he leaves sporting management. The history of the German manufacturer in motorsport and the progress made do not seem to leave it unmoved. “I'm really proud of what the team has accomplished over the last few years. Volkswagen has never had such a successful program before. We must thank the fantastic work of the team. I also thank Dr. Hackenberg (member of the Brand Development Committee) for his trust and support and I wish the best future for Jost Capito and the team. »
