Julien Ingrassia, the essential cog

Si en rally, the pilot is put forward, forgetting the co-pilot would be a serious mistake. Last Sunday, winning with Sébastien Ogier his second world title in WRC, Julien Ingrassia entered the history of French rallying by becoming the most successful French co-driver. He thus overtakes Daniel Grataloup and Bernard Occelli, world champions in 1993 for the first with François Delecour (the latter finishing 2nd in the championship, Editor's note) and in 1994 for the second with Didier Auriol.

“To reach the top, you have to set goals and have benchmarks to beat. At first, you cling to it. It's your source of motivation. Then, when you're at the top, you no longer have anyone in front of you. This is where you have to ask yourself how you are going to stay there, knowing that behind you, they are hungry? »  indicates the native of Aix-en-Provence.

Find the entire portrait of Julien Ingrassia in issue 1984 of AUTOhebdo, available now in digital version and on newsstands.
