Back to the calendar WRC since 2021, Kenya is preparing to reunite with the players in the world championship in just a few days (June 23-26). On site, the task promises to be difficult for Kalle Rovanperä where the Kenyan land does not promise to be kind to him.
« It will be a difficult test, advances the Finn with WRC.com. Last year we saw a lot of problems, so it would be nice to be able to experience a good rally while opening the road. It's quite a different rally than usual, and it's perhaps not the one you enjoy the most when you're in the car, but the scenery is obviously magnificent. It's a special place and you also have to approach it a little differently.
Sardinia may not have completely lived up to our expectations, but I hope we don't waste as much time in Kenya. We had a good rally overall last year, we just lacked a bit of success by being stuck on Friday afternoon. This year we will try to avoid this kind of thing by better approaching this event where we find difficult conditions and things that we do not normally see in modern rallies."
After seeing his streak of three consecutive victories stopped by Ott Tänak in Sardinia, Kalle Rovanperä hopes to return to the path of victory in Kenya. A difficult mission to carry out, however, in the Safari where he will have to sweep at the opening but above all escape the traps of the Kenyan savannah.
