Kalle Rovanperä wins the Arctic Lapland Rally

If you Rally Monte-Carlo will open the 2020 season WRC next week, Kalle Rovanperä and Toyota made a first competitive outing this weekend in Finland on the snow of the Arctic Lapland Rally.

And Tommi Mäkinen's new recruit did not disappoint, winning at the wheel of his Yaris WRC almost 2'30" ahead of Teemu Asunmaa (Skoda Fabia R5 Evo), with Erik Pietarinen completing the podium in his Skoda Fabia R5 Evo 48″ from Asunmaa.

Aligned with a Citroën DS3 WRC, Valtteri Bottas, official pilot Mercedes en F1, had a tricky first day with 22nd position overall, before moving up the hierarchy and finishing 9th, more than 9’50” behind Rovanperä.
