At the end of an exciting race with several changes of leaders and twists and turns until Sunday, Kalle Rovanperä and Jonne Halttunen won an impressively solid victory which placed them at the top of the championship.

At the start of the season, one of the many questions looming before the first stages of Monte-Carlo (January 21-23) was whether Kalle Rovanperä had strong enough shoulders to aim for the title. His relative lack of practice of WRC on certain grounds would it force him to look beyond 2022? The progress of this 69th edition of the rally from Sweden doesn't offer a definitive answer, but it opens up great prospects for the Finn.
