Le Rally of New Zealand 2020 (September 3-6) will host the king of gymkhana. Ken Block and his co-driver Alex Gelsomino will travel to the Antipodes to compete in the gravel event of the World Rally Championship (WRC).
The 52-year-old American will drive his now traditional modified Ford Escort RS Cosworth. Ford at the same time becomes one of the privileged sponsors of the event.
Michael Goldstein, the boss of the rally, recalls that “Ford is the ultimate WRC manufacturer, present in the World Cup since the 1970s.”
Ken Block had already experienced the fast roads of New Zealand aboard a Subaru Impreza WRX in 2007 and 2008 and a Ford Fiesta WRC in 2012.
