Kimi Räikkönen opens his account

Kimi Räikkönen, the day after Rally of Sweden, first round of the season, did not have many reasons for satisfaction. Sometimes almost as fast as some of his rivals, he saw his race spoiled by multiple small errors causing him to lose the benefit of his good steering. As the Finn's experience increases, these small errors are now rare and the pilot can begin to set numerical objectives. This weekend, Iceman went to the end of the event, without having made any major mistakes, and finished in eighth place, scoring his first four points in WRC.

« It was an extremely difficult event with the most complicated stages I have ever faced., affirms Kimi Räikkönen satisfied to have gone to the end without fault. We achieved our goal of being at the finish without making any big mistakes. Every day, I feel better in the Citroën C4 WRC. »

« From the start, my goal was to finish this rally and I am very happy to achieve it despite difficult conditions., continues the pilot Red Bull of the Citroën Junior Team. I learned more throughout the stages, gaining confidence. We arrived in Jordan with minimal experience of gravel rallying and we practically doubled it. I know the car better and better and, more importantly, I had a lot of fun during these three days. We are making progress, that's why we are here, and I hope it continues in Turkey. »
