Kris Meeke extends at Citroën

If Citroën will not be officially engaged in WRC In 2016, the French brand will remain in business with the development of the future 2017 car meeting the new regulations. For this, the Briton Kris Meeke will be requisitioned to work on the next weapon of the Racing department, and has extended his contract until 2018.

Aligned for two seasons in the DS3 WRC, the winner of the Rally of Argentina 2015 (his first World Cup success) will also carry out a private program of several rounds which remains to be defined. The latter could involve a commitment via the PH Sport structure, a satellite team of Citroën Racing, which should begin at the Monte-Carlo Rally (January 22-24). This should be confirmed at the end of the week, Friday being the deadline for registrations for the Monaco classic.

“From now on, we know each other perfectly and this osmosis will be essential to successfully complete the development of the new car, explains Meeke. Everything that awaits us over the next few months excites me.

Obviously, all this work is done with the objective of being able to fight for new victories and for the world title. » Paul Nagle will once again be Meeke's co-driver in the 2016 events.
