THEAlpine A110 Rally is passing a crucial milestone in terms of its participation in international rallies. The car prepared by Signatech has indeed obtained R-GT approval from the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), the final stage of the validation process with the governing bodies of world motorsport.
The new generation Berlinette can therefore now compete in international and world rallies like theERC or WRC, in the class dedicated to R-GT. “Each approval is a long-term process requiring nearly a year of work through multiple inspections carried out with a fine-tooth comb on our car, chassis or even engine, explains Philippe Sinault, Director of Signatech.
The tremendous work carried out by Lionel Chevalier's technical team over the last ten months is today rewarded by this FIA R-GT homologation. I also thank Renault Sport Racing and the FFSA for their valuable collaboration. This approval makes theAlpine A110 Rally eligible for all international events, notably WRC and ERC, in addition to national and local events where it has been present since March.
It also opens up new sporting horizons to all of our customers, of whom there are already more than ten. We now look forward to seeing theAlpine A110 Rally confirm its potential on the most beautiful special stages on the planet, but above all we are proud and honored to contribute to the return ofAlpine in the world forty-seven years after the brand opened the FIA World Rally Championship list with the Berlinette! »
