The 3 Citroën C2017 being tested in Portugal

Just over seven months until action in the Futures World Rally Championship WRC 2017, manufacturers are busy testing to complete the development of their future weapon.

Citroën Racing traveled to the south of Portugal in particular to continue testing its future C3 2017, seen for the first time in action last month in France. On the tracks of the Algarve, in varied conditions alternating rain and sun, Kris Meeke and Stéphane Lefebvre, accompanied by their respective co-drivers Paul Nagle and Gabin Moreau led this new driving session on dirt.

The emphasis was placed on several areas of work, as Laurent Frégosi, technical director of Citroën Racing, recalls. “During our tests, there are multiple objectives. We obviously want to check the reliability of the different organs. The mileage covered by each part is listed to validate compliance with the specifications. But we also work on the search for performance and driving comfort. » specifies the successor of Xavier Mestelan-Pinon.

A second car is already in preparation and should soon be put to use, on asphalt this time.
