FIA confirms absence of promoter

Our sources had indicated that Eurosport Events would not be present at the Rally of Sweden and that the organizers of all the events on the calendar had been warned that negotiations between the sports channel and the FIA ​​had fallen through. However, the FIA ​​will be responsible for ensuring the timing of the events and would like to point out that it leaves the door open to further discussions. “In addition to its usual services relating to the sporting and technical supervision of the Championship events, the FIA ​​will finance the timing/tracking of each of them so that the Championship takes place in the best conditions. Teams, manufacturers and other stakeholders have all been informed of this situation. The FIA ​​is now opening dialogue with all other parties who have expressed interest in promoting the WRC in order to guarantee the development and growth of the FIA ​​World Rally Championship in the future. »
