Rally Finland entry list revealed

The WRC has revealed the list of participants for the 8th event of the season, for the Rally Finland (August 4-7). 45 cars are registered, including 12 Rally1.

Rally Finland entry list revealed

We know the next participants in one of the most famous rallies in the world. The bodies of the World Rally Championship (WRC) have revealed the list of entrants for the Rally from Finland, from August 4 to 7. The Finnish round will count for the 8th stage of the 2022 season.

Au total, ce sont 45 équipages qui prendront le départ du « Rallye des 1000 Lacs ». Parmi eux, on pourra compter sur la présence de 12 voitures Rally1 hybrides, dont 4 Toyota Yaris, 3 Hyundai i20 et 5 M-Sport-Ford Puma.

No Sébastien Ogier nor Sébastien Loeb but a certain Juri Huttunen, WRC3 champion in 2020, will take part in his first rally in the premier category, with M-Sport. Adrien fourmaux and Pierre-Louis Loubet will be the two French representatives in Finland, both aboard the Ford Puma. Esapekka Lappi finds the Toyota Yaris in place of Ogier, who won his one and only rally at home in 2017.

In the lower categories, there will be 17 cars in WRC2 and 5 crews in WRC3. Among the last entrants on the list, a name sounds familiar: Justus Räikkönen, nephew of the world champion of Formula 1 Kimi Räikkönen will make his WRC debut in a Peugeot 208 Rally4.
