The entry list for the 2018 Monte-Carlo Rally revealed

Le Rally Monte-Carlo 2018 (January 25-28) will once again open the World Rally Championship and will be able to count on eleven cars entered in the premier category of the WRC. M-Sport Ford WRT alignera trois Fiesta pour Sébastien Ogier, Elfyn Evans and Bryan Bouffier, as announced at the start of the week.

Face aux voitures championnes du monde et désormais soutenues par la marque à l’ovale bleu, Toyota Gazoo Racing fera confiance au trio Jari-Matti Latvala – Ott Tänak – Esapekka Lappi. Hyundai Motorsport engagera pour sa part ses i20 Coupe pour Thierry Neuville, Andreas Mikkelsen and Dani Sordo, the latter sharing the third car with Hayden Paddon in 2018.

Only Citroën Racing will feature two C3 WRCs for Kris Meeke and Craig Breen. The latter will give way to Sébastien Loeb in Mexico. Italian Manuel Vila will start in a Ford Fiesta.

In WRC-2, the fight should be intense between the Ford Fiesta R5 – M-Sport of Eric Camilli and Teemu Suninen and the official Skoda Fabia R5 of Jan Kopecky. Privateers like Kevin Abbring (Ford Fiesta R5) or Guillaume de Mévius (Peugeot 208 T16 R5) will seek to play the leading roles.

Not registered to score points in the class, Ole Christian Veiby (Skoda Fabia R5), Källe Rovenpera (Skoda Fabia R5), Quentin Giordano (Skoda Fabia R5), Mathieu Arzeno (Skoda Fabia R5) and Stéphane Sarrazin (Hyundai i20 R5) should also show themselves at the forefront.

Frenchman Jean-Baptiste Franceschi will be there in WRC-3, while Nicolas Ciamin will drive an Abarth 124 in the R-GT category. Yoann Bonato is listed on a Peugeot 208 R2. 68 cars will be at the start.
