The Lotus Exige R-GT took to the track for the first time in configuration Rally so that a first shakedown can be carried out. The British manufacturer reports excellent feedback with behavior satisfying the expectations of the team in charge of development. Further tests will be carried out before the Monte-Carlo Rally. The Exige R-GT will also be present at the Tour de Corse and Sanremo.
Claudio Berro, the sporting director of Group Lotus, is delighted with the result obtained. “Considering we started working on the car in July, what we have achieved since then is incredible. The Exige S is a perfect rally car, it has a fantastic 3.5l engine and we have distributed the masses perfectly according to the regulations. After this shakedown, we look forward to seeing the car racing at the start of next year. »
