The first “private” Mini for Oliveira

To see the Mini Countryman in action WRC, you will have to wait until Rally from Sardinia at the beginning of May. However, it is in Portugal, at the end of March, that the first example of a Mini Countryman will appear. Not in WRC version but in Super Production version, namely S2000 1.6 turbo specification. This model may subsequently receive a kit allowing it to upgrade to the WRC version.

A brand new Brazilian team, named Brazil World Rally Team, will enter the first Mini Countryman Super Production model in the world championship. The car will be at the start of 10 events in 2011, and will be entrusted to Daniel Oliveira, also Brazilian. The latter will have as co-driver the Portuguese Carlos Magalhaes, with whom he has already collaborated during the Scottish Rally and during the final meeting of the Argentine championship.

For the past two years, Daniel Oliveira has been active in the IRC. His only convincing result last season was a seventh place at the Curitiba Rally, at home in Brazil.
