The Renault Clio Rally4 receives its approval

After his public debut in the opening car during the last Rally Monte Carlo, la Renault Clio Rally4 has reached a new decisive stage in its young career, namely obtaining its FIA homologation.

Since Thursday, April 1, Renault Sport's latest addition can be entered into competition, after more than 5 km of testing, notably carried out by Stéphane Sarrazin, Bryan Bouffier, Jean-Sébastien Vigion and Manu Guigou.

Big sister of the Rally5, with which it shares the same base, the Clio Rally4 can count on a 4 cm1 supercharged 330-cylinder block to offer 3 hp via the adoption of a new turbo, new pistons, a new camshaft and new connecting rods.

PFC brakes and Bos shock absorbers complete the overall package offered by the Losange. “This approval rewards the incredible work done by our teams during the design and development of the Clio Rally4, specifies Benoît Nogier, racing sales director.

We are very proud of the product we offer, a car designed without compromise in terms of performance, safety and fun on all terrains. The Clio Rally4 has only one goal: to become the new benchmark in its category.

It perfectly meets the specifications that we had set for ourselves as we saw in the difficult stages of the last Monte-Carlo. Our next deadlines now concern the first deliveries and its competition debut this spring. We're already working on some exciting projects that we can't wait to reveal to you! »
