With the Japanese round canceled, the WRC management had to find an event to fill the void left by this decision. A solution quickly appeared: Monza. Integrated at the last minute into the calendar for the first time in its history in 2020, the transalpine meeting was called to the rescue and will once again close the world championship campaign this year.

The event will be held on the dates initially planned for the Rally of Japan, namely from November 19 to 21. It now remains to determine the organization of the Italian event.
