The FIA ​​World Council has revealed the provisional calendar for the 2018 WRC season. The Turkey Rally will make its return at the expense of Poland.

Turkey will be back in 2018

As we announced to you in issue 2128 of AUTOhebdo, Rally of Türkiye should replace Poland in the 2018 calendar of the WRC. The FIA ​​World Council has confirmed our information published in August, the new event missing from the World Rally Championship since 2010 being scheduled for the weekend of September 16.

The registration of the Rally of Turkey, whose base should be located in Marmaris, remains subject to reservation. The organization of the event will mainly depend on the political tensions shaking the country. Poland would have been ejected from the calendar due to safety problems on special stages.

Furthermore, the season will begin at Monte-Carlo on the weekend of January 28. The Tour de Corse is scheduled for the week of April 8.

March 11 – Rally Mexico (subject to agreement with promoters)

October 28 – Rally of Spain
