The ACM judges the Monte-Carlo too long

If you Rally Monte-Carlo is being contested this year over five days, the Automobile Club of Monaco recognized that this format was too extensive for amateur crews and would like to return to a tighter event format. One of the negative effects that could be noted concerns the entry list, which is significantly reduced with only 83 crews registered compared to more than a hundred in previous editions.

“We want to have a new format for next year’s Monte-Carlo”, comments Michel Ferry, the general commissioner of the ACM. “The current format is too long for amateurs and Monte-Carlo without amateurs would no longer be Monte-Carlo. We are trying to find a solution because one day for the shakedown and one day for the Power Stage is not suitable. We already met yesterday to discuss a new format. »
