  • He's been waiting for more than six years, and she's reaching out to him: Esapekka Lappi is just one morning and three stages away from winning her second rally WRC, his first since the 2017 Rally Finland! The Finn, alone in the lead since the retirement of Takamoto Katsuta this Saturday morning, managed his lead throughout the day and still has a comfortable lead at the top of the Swedish Rally.
  • The pilot Hyundai is still 1'06"3 ahead of his closest pursuer, who is none other thanAdrien fourmaux ! The Frenchman had an exceptional day – despite a nice scare in SS15 – resisting the pressure exerted by Elfyn Evans (Toyota). The two men went blow for blow this Saturday (with a scratch for Fourmaux, on SS11), and ended the day with a gap of 16″7 in favor of the Northerner.
  • The pilot M-Sport is on the verge of securing his first podium in the WRC, since Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) is 1'15″8 behind the Frenchman, in fourth place. Adrien Fourmaux will have already secured the 15 points for second place awarded on Saturday evening, on the condition that he finishes this Rally of Sweden on Sunday.
  • Grégoire Munster had a difficult end to the day: the Belgian, with a Luxembourg license, hit a wall of snow in the last special of the day, and lost almost a quarter of an hour in his misadventure...
  • Behind the leading quartet, we find the first Rally2, that of Oliver Solberg (Skoda). The stage local retained the lead of the Rally Sweden with a 1'14″0 lead over Sami Pajari (Toyota) and Georg Linnamaë (Toyota).
