For his second campaign under the colors ofHyundai, Ott Tänak had high hopes. But then, after three rounds, a victory and two podiums, the 2019 world champion was suddenly struck by bad luck.

While leading the rallies in Portugal and Italy, the Estonian saw his i20 give up along the way, finishing with only 9 points when he could have scored more than 50 and had a tough life. Sébastien Ogier, leader of the championship.

Now 5th after eight rounds, Ott Tänak is 75 points behind the Habs with only four rallies remaining (Greece, Finland, Spain and Japan). A fact that he doesn't seem to take into account since the title is always in the back of his mind when he hears it.
