Latvala fastest at Rally Portugal shakedown

Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) a été le plus rapide au shakedown du Rally from Portugal. The Finn completed the 4,6km of Paredes in 3'03''5 during his third and final pass and was ahead by three tenths Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) and Thierry Neuville (Hyundai).

Kris Meeke (Citroën) and Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) followed in the standings seven tenths behind the reference time, the Norwegian having been the most efficient in his fourth attempt. Hayden Paddon (Hyundai) finished one tenth behind his Scandinavian teammate.

Esapekka Lappi (Toyota) finished the session in seventh position, one second behind his teammate at the top of the standings. The Finn finished tied with his teammate Ott Tänak.

Dani Sordo (Hyundai) and Teemu Suninen (M-Sport) completed the Top 10 ahead of Mads Ostberg back in the Citroën C3 WRC who beat Elfyn Evans (M-Sport) and Craig Breen (Citroen).

Pontus Tidemand (Skoda) was the fastest in the R5 category, setting a time of 3'14''5, almost two seconds ahead of Pierre-Louis Loubet (Hyundai).

The Rally Portugal will begin at 21:03 p.m. with the 3,36km Lousada super special.
