Latvala: The title will be played before the end

The new stages of Wales Rally GB and the bad weather that accompanies it will form a particularly difficult mix for the drivers, who will have to demonstrate all their talent to not go off the road and avoid ending their season prematurely. According to Jari-Matti Latvala, one of the two leaders fighting for the title should not finish the event, as the conditions will be delicate and tricky.

“The new special stages will make this event particularly interesting », assures Jari-Matti Latvala. “We do not know the level of grip on the new stages and the changing weather will cause the grip to evolve. I think the fight for the title will not last until the Power Stage, the outcome of this season will be known before then. There are enough difficult turns on this rally. The Clocaenog special (opening special) is really tricky, this rally is hard to follow because it's not like you're following a natural route. »

The start of Wales Rally GB will be given at 15:38 p.m. with the Greta Orme super special (4,74km), which will be covered twice before the Clocaenog route (15,77km) which will conclude this first stage of an event which will include exceptionally four.
