Latvala will only fight against Loeb

Jari-Matti Latvala knows Wales Rally GB well since this event was the most contested by the Flying Finn. Out of nine entries, the Ford driver's best result was a 2nd place in 2008. In good form at the end of the season, Mikko Hirvonen's teammate will try by all means to get ahead of Sébastien Loeb to allow his compatriot to take the advantage in the Championship and win the title so coveted by the American manufacturer.

“I want to fight for victory and try to be in a position to help Mikko”, assures Jari-Matti Latvala. “Our goal is to achieve the double. It?s important for the team to get in front of Loeb and take points from him, so I?ll ride as hard as possible at the start. My pace will have to be aggressive from the first kilometers because it will be very difficult to get back to Loeb if we don't let him escape. I have more experience in this event than in any other rally du WRC, even if the route is different this year. »
