Latvala stands out at shakedown, Fords discreet

Sent to the ground during the last Tour de Corsica, Jari-Matti Latvala (Toyota) gets back on his feet during the shakedown of Rally from Argentina. The Finn covered the 4,25 kilometers of sandy roads in 2'31''5, three tenths less than Craig Breen (Citroen).

The two official C3s even appear on the podium, with the Briton Kris Meeke responsible for the third time (+0”4). Winner of the last two editions of the Rally Argentina, Hyundai had no difficulty placing Andreas Mikkelsen in fourth place (+0''7) as well as Thierry Neuville in sixth place (+1”2).

Team representatives M-Sport Ford remained in line, starting with the leader of the general classification Sébastien Ogier, holder of the seventh fastest time at a second and a half. His teammates Teemu Suninen (+1”7) and Elfyn Evans (+2”7) close the Top 10.

The WRC2 is currently led by the teenager Kalle Rovanpera (Skoda), barely 17 years old and faster than big names like Pontus Tidemand (Skoda) with equal equipment (+2''4).

The competitors returned to the service park to modify and validate the settings before the short opening special of the Rally Argentina at Carlos Paz (1,9 km), scheduled for 00:08 French time.
