Latvala wants to forget the Monte-Carlo Rally

Jari-Matti Latvala missed the chance to score big points in the Rally Monte-Carlo going off the road in the last special of the first stage. The Flying Finn could not even try to limit the damage by competing in the Power Stage, the organizers of the event having refused the rule of Rally 2. The Ford driver will therefore have to recover from the Swedish Rally which will take place from 9 to February 12 to be able to claim the title.

“I certainly expected a different start to the season.”, commented Jari-Matti Latvala on Autosport. “But luckily we will have a test session the week before Sweden. Before that, I'm going home to forget this rally and everything that happened. Once I recover, I will be ready again and I will only think about Sweden. I will have a good feeling with the car during testing and I will move forward. I will feel better when I am on the snow and in more normal conditions. »
